DESCRIPTION:
Chelsea Clock Co., Boston, Mass., "Vanderbilt" yacht wheel clock, 8 day, time and ship's bells, spring-driven balance wheel movement in a case with bronze finish and hinged bezel, serial number 509775.
CONDITION:
dark patina on this heavy case has mottled lacquer. The brass yacht wheel handles are tarnished, but the silvered dial is very good. One of the handles is brightly polished and is probably a newer replacement. The jeweled movement ticks and strikes but was not tested long term.
